Tina's Reading Books

I got through like 2 hours of this on audio and gave up.  I liked the other books in this series.  And I love Kirsten Potter as a narrator.  But this book was aggravating.  The hero is a bit of a pig.  I am sure he redeems himself somehow later but what a jerk.  And frankly I did not want to wait around til it happened.

But the number 1 reason I bailed was because of one phrase that was repeated so often that I began to twitch waiting for it to happen:

'Tis The Truth.


Practically every other sentence was started with this phrase.  Or interjected into a sentence and if it wasn't that it was:

'Twas the Truth.

God.  It was like that little kid on youtube being interviewed at a county fair or something where every other word he says is "apparently"  (seriously, if you haven't seen the video, go to youtube and search  'Apparently kid"  and watch the video.  On him it is cute.  In this book the oft used phrase was like a sore tooth.  Bugged the shit out of me.  And made me return an audiobook.
